LHASA, Aug. 21 (Xinhua) — A central government delegation attending activities to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region presented gifts and souvenirs to local residents and officials.
The gifts, including congratulatory plaques, automatic butter tea kettles (chasuima) and projectors, reflect the sincere concern of the CPC Central Committee with Chairman Xi Jinping at its core, as well as the deep friendship of the people of the whole country.
The recipients of the gifts included party and government institutions, military units stationed in Xizang, enterprises, rural communities, temples, schools, medical centers and nursing homes, as well as farmers and herders, city residents, cadres and workers in the region. –0–
