BANGKOK, Aug. 21 (Xinhua) — Suspended Thai Prime Minister Phetongthan Shinawatra attended a Constitutional Court hearing on Thursday over alleged ethics violations.
The hearing began at 10:30 a.m. local time, with Phetongthan Shinawatra and National Security Council Secretary-General Chatchai Bangchhuat present to examine witnesses.
On July 1, the court suspended Phetongthan Shinawatra from office after accepting a case brought by a group of senators who accused her of serious ethical violations over the leak of a telephone conversation on the border issue with Cambodia.
The court had previously said it would rule on the case on August 29. –0–
