KAZAN /Russia/, Aug. 19 /Xinhua/ — A center for promoting investment in Chinese enterprises was established in Kazan, the capital of the Russian Republic of Tatarstan, on Tuesday. The opening of the site took place on the sidelines of the 3rd international forum "Sprouts: Russia and China – Mutually Beneficial Cooperation."
The Chinese Ambassador to the Russian Federation Zhang Hanhui attended the opening ceremony of the center and said that its creation is an important milestone in deepening interregional practical cooperation between the two countries, especially in the area of trade and economic relations between China and the Republic of Tatarstan.
The diplomat noted that this center is not just a physical space, but also a powerful engine for future cooperation. China is ready to make full use of this valuable platform and further develop it into an information exchange center, a bridge for resource integration, and a platform for business services, Zhang Hanhui added.
First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Nigmatullin noted at the event that the region is proud to create the most favorable conditions for investment. Tatarstan has established itself as one of the leading regions in terms of interaction with Chinese companies. “We understand that partnership requires not only the intentions of the parties, but also prompt support,” said R. Nigmatullin, adding that the government of Tatarstan will support the work of the Center for Assistance to Investments of Chinese Enterprises.
The center was created on the initiative of the Union of Chinese Entrepreneurs in Russia and with the support of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan.
