BUDAPEST, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) — Hungarian astronaut Tibor Capu returned to Budapest on Monday to a hero's welcome after completing his mission aboard the International Space Station (ISS).

T. Kapu arrived on a Hungarian military plane at Ferenc Liszt International Airport and walked onto the airfield holding the national flag. His photos with the flag were widely circulated in local media.

Several hundred people gathered to greet the astronaut, many wearing T-shirts with the logo of the Hungarian space program /HUNOR/ and waving banners. Prime Minister Viktor Orbán wrote on social media: “Welcome home, Tibor Capu!”

The Hungarian specialist was on the ISS from June 25 to July 15 as part of the Axiom-4 mission, working with astronauts from the United States, India and Poland. He conducted 25 experiments covering medicine, biology, materials science, physics, meteorology and agricultural engineering. –0–
