BEIJING, Aug. 18 (Xinhua) — Chinese box office revenue for the summer movie season (from June 1 to Aug. 31, 2025) has exceeded 10 billion yuan (about 1.4 billion U.S. dollars) as of Aug. 18, with Chinese-made films taking the top three spots among the highest-grossing films, according to data from ticketing platforms Maoyan and Beacon.
