BEIJING, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) — Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Sunday sent a congratulatory message to his Indonesian counterpart Sugiono on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Indonesia.
Wang Yi, also a member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee, said that under the strategic guidance of the two leaders, China-Indonesian relations have maintained high momentum.
The Chinese Foreign Minister noted that the two sides are committed to developing cooperation in five areas: politics, economics, people-to-people and cultural exchanges, maritime affairs and security, and building a China-Indonesian community with a shared future that will exert regional and global influence.
Wang Yi said he is willing to work closely with Sugiono to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, so as to continuously raise the friendship, mutual trust and strategic coordination between the two countries to a higher level and further demonstrate the regional and global influence of China-Indonesian relations. -0-
