Moscow, August 16 /Xinhua/ — The death toll after an emergency at a plant in the Ryazan region has risen to nine, with another 120 injured, the Russian Emergencies Ministry reported on its Telegram channel on Saturday.
"Another person has been rescued from under the rubble in the Ryazan region. The location of the victim was discovered by a canine unit of the Russian Emergencies Ministry. A total of three people have been rescued. The bodies of four more people have been pulled out from under the rubble. According to updated information, 129 people were injured, nine of whom died. Work on the site continues," the report says.
As previously reported by the Governor of the Ryazan Region Pavel Malkov, on Saturday a fire broke out in the production workshop at an enterprise in the Shilovsky District.
