Sergey Semenov

Professor of the Department of Urban Development of SPbGASU, Doctor of Architecture Sergey Vladimirovich Semenov was awarded the badge "Honorary Architect of Russia". The official ceremony of awarding the badge and certificate of the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Public Utilities of Russia took place in the Central House of Architects in Moscow.

Sergey Semenov graduated from LISI (now SPbGASU) and has been working at his native university for over 45 years. For many years, he headed the Department of Architectural and Urban Heritage. Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences. His work contributed to the preservation of the restoration industry in difficult years, the creation and approval of the professional standard "Architect-restorer". He took an active part in the preparatory work for the inclusion of the site "Saint Petersburg and Related Groups of Monuments" in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Sergey Vladimirovich is the chairman of the federal educational and methodological association in the field of training "Restoration and reconstruction of architectural heritage", chairman of the Higher Attestation Commission in the field of "Theory and history of architecture".
