BEIJING, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) — Staff at the National Library of China (NLC) on Tuesday presented to visitors the results of their work in organizing rare documents and historical materials related to the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1931-1945).

Through documents, artefacts, digitized archives and interactive sessions, the exhibition vividly tells the story of the Chinese people's fearless resistance to the Japanese occupiers.

The exhibits on display are the result of a project initiated by the NBC in 2012 to preserve historical archives from the revolutionary period.

Scannable QR codes will give visitors access to digital resources dedicated to key events and historical evidence, such as rare records of the Tokyo Trials, also known as the International Military Tribunal for the Far East, and documentation of the biological warfare carried out by the Japanese invaders in China.

Visitors can create commemorative badges and collectible bookplates, as well as share their impressions of what they saw on a special wall.

In addition to the National Library of China in Beijing, this exhibition will also be held simultaneously in seven libraries in Hebei, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Hubei provinces.

According to the NBC, as of July, a total of 2,714 volumes of documents related to the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression have been systematized and published.

Entry to the exhibition, which will run until October 15, will be free for visitors. -0-
