OTTAWA, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) — Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney on Monday held a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, stressing that any decision on Ukraine's future should be made by Ukrainians.
According to a statement published on the prime minister's official website, the leaders of the two countries said that interstate borders cannot be changed by force.
M. Carney reiterated Canada's support for Ukraine. Last week, Canada, the European Union and the United Kingdom announced their intention to lower price caps on Russian crude oil, the statement said.
