Yerevan, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) — Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a telephone conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Monday, the press service of the head of the Armenian government reported.

N. Pashinyan told the Iranian President about the results of the talks between the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan and the United States, which took place on August 8 in Washington, emphasizing the opportunities that the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan opens up for the region.

The Prime Minister of Armenia particularly noted that regional communications will operate within the framework of the principles of territorial integrity, sovereignty, jurisdiction of countries and on the basis of reciprocity.

N. Pashinyan also thanked M. Pezeshkian for his objective assessment of the Washington agreements and stressed the importance of his upcoming visit to Armenia. –0–
