Tashkent, Aug. 8 (Xinhua) — Uzbekistan increased its watermelon exports by 67.7 percent in the first six months of this year, local media reported on Thursday, citing the country's National Statistics Committee.

“According to preliminary data from the National Statistics Committee, in January-June 2025, Uzbekistan exported 130.6 thousand tons of watermelons worth 29.9 million US dollars,” the report says. The figure increased by 52.7 thousand tons /67.7 percent/ compared to the same period last year.

Among the countries to which Uzbekistan exported the most watermelons, Russia took first place – 66 thousand tons, followed by Kazakhstan with 44 thousand tons and Kyrgyzstan with 19 thousand tons. –0–
