BEIJING, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) — An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 jolted waters east of Taiwan Island at 3:45 p.m. Thursday, the China Seismic Networks Center (CENC) said.
The epicenter of the tremors was located at 24.50 degrees north latitude and 123.00 degrees east longitude. The hypocenter was located at a depth of 80 kilometers, CENC reported. -0-
