Moscow schools are inviting students to pre-professional classes. Applications for enrollment can be submitted until August 25 at educational institutions where such classes will open. This was reported by the press service of the capital's Department of Education and Science.
"Six pre-professional training programs are open in Moscow: engineering, medical, entrepreneurial, psychological and pedagogical, IT and media classes. Their main advantage is the opportunity to consciously choose a future specialty. Schoolchildren do not just prepare for the Unified State Exam, but are fully immersed in a professional environment. They visit university laboratories and employers' sites, participate in scientific research, and receive their first professions in colleges. This helps them make a confident choice and successfully enter a university," the department's press service noted.
The training is carried out according to a unique system "school – college – university – industrial partner". In grades 10-11, students not only master the school curriculum, but also receive certificates of working professions in colleges. They also create projects under the guidance of teachers from leading universities and participate in scientific and practical conferences, which gives additional points for admission. In grade 11, students can take a pre-professional exam, which increases the chances of enrollment in the chosen university.
"I want to start my own business in the future, so I joined the entrepreneurship class. We immediately began to immerse ourselves in the profession: in September we already participated in a business game, then there were pre-professional holidays at Lomonosov Moscow State University, lectures at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, training in the specialty of "bank agent" and project activities. I attended trainings and meetings with entrepreneurs, learned how to use Osterwalder's business model and present ideas to investors. I also developed my own project – a fitness club for teenagers, where there are both sports training and psychological training to strengthen mental health. After school, I want to enroll in a program related to business analytics, so next year I will study strategic planning, risk management and tools for data analysis," said Georgy Kazenashev, a student of the entrepreneurship class at School No. 1302.
To enroll in the capital's pre-professional class, you need to score at least four points in specialized subjects on the main state exam and have an average grade point average of at least "good". If the school that the ninth-grader graduated from does not have the required direction, you can choose another one where the required class is open.
More information about admission conditions and areas of study is available atwebsite. In addition, you can send your question to the single project office for pre-professional education – the Institute for the Development of Profile Education Moscow City Pedagogical University.
Education in pre-vocational classes promotes early career guidance for schoolchildren and is consistent with the objectives of the national project "Youth and Children".
