BEIJING, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) — A symposium was held in Beijing on Tuesday to mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of Ren Jianxin, a former senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and former president of the Supreme People's Court of China who passed away in September last year.
Wang Huning, member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee and Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), attended the symposium.
Speaking at the symposium, Chen Wenqing, a member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee, called on people to learn from Ren Jianxin's absolute loyalty to the Party, his lifelong dedication to judicial work, and his honesty and incorruptibility.
Ren Jianxin was also a member of the Secretariat of the 14th CPC Central Committee, head of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee of the CPC Central Committee, and vice chairman of the 9th CPPCC National Committee. -0-
