Moscow, August 4 (Xinhua) — The 2nd Western District Military Court has begun hearing the merits of the criminal case on the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Moscow, TASS reported on Monday.
There are 19 defendants in the case, including both the direct perpetrators of the terrorist attack and their accomplices. The trial will be held behind closed doors from the media and the public due to the presence of classified information in the case materials.
The attack on the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Krasnogorsk, Moscow Region, took place on March 22, 2024. The terrorists opened fire with automatic weapons on people inside the building and set the auditorium on fire. As a result of the terrorist attack, 149 people were killed and another 609 were injured. –0–
