BEIJING, Aug. 2 (Xinhua) — More than 100 cutting-edge robotics products will be unveiled for the first time at the upcoming World Robotics Conference 2025 in Beijing, nearly double the number from last year, highlighting the conference's growing role as a global platform for innovation.

The conference will take place from August 8 to 12 in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone, also known as Beijing E-Town, and will be organized under the theme “Making Robots Smarter, Making Embodied Agents More Intelligent.” The event will feature over 1,500 exhibits from over 200 leading robotics companies from around the world.

The main feature of the event will be the premiere of cutting-edge products, from flexible quadruped robots, rescue robots, inspection robots to catheter insertion robots and robotic lawn mowers, which will allow participants to look into the future of intelligent machines.

Humanoid robots remain the main attraction of the conference, with 50 manufacturers of full-size humanoids presenting their latest developments.

According to Xu Xiaolan, head of the China Institute of Electronics, in 2024 China filed two-thirds of all global robotics patent applications and produced 556,000 industrial robots, maintaining its status as the world's largest manufacturer. Over the past decade, the number of international partner organizations participating in the conference has grown from 12 to 28, and the number of overseas participants has increased from just over 10 to over 80.

The conference, co-hosted by the China Institute of Electronics and the World Robotics Cooperation Organization, is expected to attract a record number of international institutions. The conference will also feature a consumer robotics festival aimed at stimulating industry upgrading and expanding consumer demand. –0–
