The URAL MOTORSPORT team officially announces its participation in the international Taklimakan Rally 2026, which will take place in China from May 16 to June 3. The competition will offer the team a unique experience in the extreme conditions of the desert and mountain ranges.

The total route length will be 8,000 kilometers across the sandy roads and dunes of the Tien Shan Mountains. The race will start in Urumqi and finish in Aksu. Of the total mileage, 4,200 kilometers will be high-speed special stages, where athletes will have to demonstrate maximum concentration and skill.

As usual, URAL MOTORSPORT will compete in the T5 category, fielding two racing cars. The drivers will face off against experienced competitors from the KAMAZ-master team and Chinese truck-class competitors. Organizers and experts expect a tense battle on the track – the showdown between these long-time rivals promises to be one of the most spectacular events of the rally.

URAL MOTORSPORT Team Principal Viktor Yakovlev: "Taklimakan is a new stage for us. It's a test of sorts for both the team's equipment and spirit. We know the desert and dunes are unforgiving, so we're preparing for them with the utmost care. I'm confident the spectators will see a real truck battle."
