Tushino Gallery invites you to the exhibitions "The Century of Theatre" and "The Gemstone Worlds of Tamara Vnuchkova."
The "Century of Theatre" exhibition is dedicated to World Theatre Day and the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Moscow Academic Art School's theatre department. Visitors will see classics of the world theatre repertoire as interpreted by graduates. The exhibition is based on diploma theses from the school's teaching and methodological collection from the 1950s to 2025. These examples illustrate how the language of the stage has changed and how the training of theatre artists at the school has been transformed.
The school's collections are of significant interest to theater scholars. They house the student and diploma works of such theater artists as Viktor Balash, Stanislav Bakhvalov, Nikolai Dosekin, Valentin Topuridze, and Yuri Ustinov.
The exhibition "Gemstone Worlds of Tamara Vnuchkova," dedicated to Geologist Day, features mosaic paintings made from natural gemstones. The works, created using a signature technique, are distinguished by their unique style and create a kaleidoscopic effect. They combine an artistic vision with a geologist's deep knowledge of mineral properties.
In her works, Tamara Vnuchkova uses gemstones collected from various deposits around the world. She began her career as a geologist while still a student, working on the renowned Soviet expedition "Sredazkvartssamotsvety." The artist collected minerals in mountains across the country and sketched rock outcrops. Since the early 1990s, Tamara Vnuchkova has mastered stonework techniques to realize her dream of creating mosaic paintings from gemstones.
