"The city is currently undergoing extensive cleaning of its engineering structures after the fall and winter. By the end of April, we'll have cleaned over two thousand structures—bridges, tunnels, underground and overground pedestrian crossings, embankments, piers, fountains, and monuments. Today, we cleaned the fountains in the Aquarium Garden, located on Bolshaya Sadovaya Street and a favorite recreation spot for Muscovites and visitors," said Pyotr Biryukov.
The work was carried out by a utility crew. Specialists used a street cleaner. A special solution was applied to the fountain surfaces, which was then washed away with high-pressure cleaners. City services staff thoroughly cleaned the sculptures, colonnade, parapets, and fountain bowls.
In 2024, the Aquarium Garden was improved. The sidewalks were renovated, three fountains were repaired, flower beds and a new lawn were planted, and comfortable benches and lanterns in a historical style were installed.
