BEIJING, March 30 (Xinhua) — Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday sent a message to Denis Sassou Nguesso, congratulating him on his re-election as President of the Republic of Congo.
In his message, Xi Jinping noted that China and the Republic of Congo enjoy a profound traditional friendship. He stated that in recent years, the two sides have steadily strengthened political mutual trust, resolutely supported each other on issues affecting their core interests and major concerns, and conducted fruitful cooperation in various fields.
As the Chinese leader pointed out, the two countries are jointly fulfilling their responsibilities as co-chairs of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, playing a leading role in promoting the development of China-Africa relations and South-South cooperation.
Xi Jinping emphasized that he attaches great importance to the development of bilateral relations and will work with D.
