Representatives of the Center for Socioeconomic and Political Research of China at the National Management University took part in two major events dedicated to Russian-Chinese relations.

Together with the Russian-Chinese Friendship Society, GUU organized a seminar entitled "The State University of Management's Experience in Implementing Russian-Chinese Educational Programs," which was held at the Institute of China and Modern Asia of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The audience consisted of academic experts, applicants, students, and graduates of the State University of Management's International Manufacturing Business program.

Fanis Sharipov delivered the keynote address, reminding those gathered that the Russian-Chinese dual-degree program has been implemented at SUM since 2014. Since then, 214 students have completed the program and received diplomas from SUM and Ningbo University, China.

Anton Rodionov, a lecturer at the State University of Management and the Chinese School of Language and Culture at School No. 548 "Tsaritsyno," spoke about our university's collaboration with Moscow schools, the organization of Chinese language instruction at the school, and building relationships with a Chinese partner university.

Employers and program alumni also spoke at the meeting, creating a new format for communication between representatives of the school, university, and future employer on a single platform.

The second event in which GUU participated last week was the opening of the III International Scientific and Practical Conference "Traditional and Modern East: Development Trends" at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.

The conference was organized by the Department of International Business of the Faculty of International Economic Relations at the Financial University, the Institute of Northeast Asian Studies at Jilin University (China), and Merku Buana University (Jakarta, Indonesia). The organizers expressed special gratitude to the State University of Management and the Faculty of Global Studies at Lomonosov Moscow State University for their collaboration.

Fanis Sharipov represented SUM at the forum. In his welcoming address, he spoke about our university's role in implementing Russian-Chinese educational programs and noted the global economic shift to the East and the need to uphold the traditions and culture of interaction with Eastern countries, which boast a long history. The expert also emphasized China's special role in the economic development of the Asia-Pacific region and the APEC summit that will be held in Shenzhen in November 2026.

As a reminder, 2026 marks the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Russian-Chinese Treaty of Good-Neighborliness, Friendship, and Cooperation. Furthermore, 2026–2027 have been declared "cross-years" of formation between Russia and China.
