Harbin, March 30 (Xinhua) — A cultural and educational event for teenagers from China and Russia was recently held in Jidong County, Heilongjiang Province, northeast China. The event included a school tour, a concert, and a traditional Chinese paper-cutting workshop.
Fifty-two schoolchildren and teachers from Primorsky Krai, Russia, visited the Second Middle School in Jidong County. Twenty-five performances took place on stage, including classical dance and the performance of the traditional Chinese instrument, the guzheng. These performances reflected the distinctive features of Chinese and Russian cultures, creating a spectacular and cultural experience for the audience.
During a traditional Chinese paper-cutting workshop, schoolchildren were introduced to the charm of Chinese intangible cultural heritage. The event also fostered cultural integration between Chinese and Russian teenagers.
As Gao Yan, Director of the Jidong County Tourism Development Center, noted, this year the region is actively developing year-round tourism products, improving conditions for cultural and tourist services. -0-
