NEW YORK, March 27 (Xinhua) — Dr. Henry Lee, a world-renowned forensic pathologist, died on Friday at his home in Henderson, Nevada, at the age of 87, the University of New Haven said in a press release.
"Dr. Lee was a remarkable individual," said University of New Haven President Jens Frederiksen. "His contributions to our university, as well as to forensic science and law enforcement, are invaluable and unparalleled. His legacy lives on in the generations of students and law enforcement officers he influenced during his illustrious career."
According to the Forensic Science Museum, Henry Lee was born in November 1938 in Rugao, Jiangsu Province, China. He worked on more than 8,000 criminal cases in 46 countries. One of the most famous cases of his career was the O.J. Simpson case.
Henry Lee joined the University of New Haven in 1975 and founded the Henry Lee Institute of Forensic Science in 1998. –0–
