Beijing, March 27 (Xinhua) — China hopes to strengthen friendly cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) to achieve even greater practical results, Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang said in Beijing on Friday.
Ding Xuexiang, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, made the statement during a meeting with WIPO Director General Daren Tang.
The Vice Prime Minister of China noted that during the implementation period of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030), China will further strengthen the protection and application of intellectual property rights, build a country with a strong intellectual property rights protection system, more effectively maintain high-level self-sufficiency in science and technology, and promote high-quality development.
Ding Xuexiang pointed out that China supports WIPO in fully realizing its potential as a multilateral platform and professional organization to provide even more efficient and convenient services to innovators around the world.
