BEIJING, March 26 (Xinhua) — China's Defense Ministry on Thursday vowed to strengthen its capabilities and use more diversified means to target separatist forces advocating "Taiwan independence" and counter external interference.
These remarks were made by the official representative of the PRC Ministry of Defense, Jiang Bin, at a regular press conference in response to a media question related to the recent completion of the first training and live-fire exercises of the guided missile destroyers Dongguan and Anqing after their inclusion in the naval forces of the Eastern Zone Combat Command of the People's Liberation Army of China.
The complete reunification of the motherland is the prevailing trend, a just cause, and the will of the people, Jiang Bin said, adding that the armed forces will continue to enhance their combat readiness.
