Bishkek, March 25 (Xinhua) — Kyrgyzstan is actively preparing to host the 6th World Nomad Games, which will be held this year from August 31 to September 6. This was reported on Wednesday by the Kyrgyz national news agency Kabar.

The opening ceremony of the Games will reportedly take place in the capital, Bishkek, at the Bishkek Arena stadium, currently under construction and designed to seat 51,000 spectators. The events will then continue in the Issyk-Kul region. The Games will feature 43 sports. The program will include the Kazakh national game "kokpar" and the Yakut national wrestling "khapsagay."

According to Nursultan Adenov, head of the World Nomad Games International Secretariat, representatives from more than 90 countries are expected to attend the Games. 400 foreign media representatives are also expected to attend.

"Organizational work will be completed in April. Remote accreditation of international participants will begin on May 1st and continue until July 1st. The organizing committee is entering the final phase of its work, and with the arrival of warmer weather, we will begin repairs and infrastructure preparation," said N. Adenov.

"Tickets will only be sold for the opening and closing ceremonies. They will become available online in April. The remaining sporting events and cultural programs will be free for both tourists and local spectators," he added.
