BEIJING, March 25 (Xinhua) — Cai Qi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and a member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, met with Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni and Queen Mother Norodom Moninea Sihanouk in Beijing on Wednesday.

Cai Qi noted that regardless of the changing international situation, the friendship between China and Cambodia has overcome all difficulties and has become even stronger over time.

Noting that China-Cambodia relations were upgraded to an all-weather China-Cambodia community with a shared future in the new era in April last year, Cai Qi said China is willing to work with Cambodia, guided by the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, to strengthen strategic mutual trust, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, and promote continuous achievements in building an all-weather China-Cambodia community with a shared future in the new era.

The King and Queen Mother of Cambodia noted that the strong friendship between Cambodia and China was personally established by the older generation of leaders of the two countries and remains unshakable.

They stated that Cambodia firmly adheres to the one-China principle, supports the major concepts and important initiatives put forward by the Chinese side, and is willing to strengthen cooperation with China in various fields, enhance multilateral cooperation and coordination, and jointly bring more certainty to a world undergoing change and upheaval. -0-
