The Technopolis Moscow special economic zone (SEZ) has expanded its fleet of equipment for repairing spindle assemblies of CNC machine tools. This has allowed it to service more complex, high-tech domestic and imported parts and reduce order fulfillment times, according to the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry. Maxim Liksutov.

"The development of high-tech manufacturing is one of Moscow's industrial priorities. At the direction of Sergei Sobyanin, the city is systematically supporting companies in the machine tool repair and equipment maintenance sectors. Residents of the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone receive tax breaks, developed infrastructure, and the opportunity to expand their capacity. This allows them not only to meet the needs of Moscow factories but also to take orders from companies in other regions of Russia, strengthening the country's technological independence," noted Maxim Liksutov.

The spindle is a key component of a CNC machine, enabling the rotation of the drill or milling cutter. Refurbishing this component extends the life of industrial equipment and improves its productivity, quality, and precision.

Shpindel Lab operates out of the Pechatniki plant. Our specialists diagnose and restore spindles and their components for machine tools and multi-purpose machining centers for metal, glass, plastic, and wood.

In 2025, the company installed new equipment. Using a surface grinding machine, specialists uniformly machine parts on all sides to achieve maximum precision. A lathe can produce parts up to two meters long. Another spindle repair machine has an internal grinding function.

The company's CEO, Rovshan Kerimov, explained that last year, specialists repaired over 80 spindle assemblies and two milling heads. These are complex components that hold the spindle and allow it to rotate at various angles. Customers included companies from Moscow, the republics of Bashkortostan and Buryatia, as well as the Yaroslavl, Kaluga, Rostov, and Perm regions.

The Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2026. During this time, the project has transformed from a launchpad for innovative projects into a key hub for domestic industry and a center of attraction for companies defining Russia's technological sovereignty. Today, over 240 high-tech companies operate across 10 sites covering a total area of 392 hectares. They represent strategic sectors such as microelectronics, instrumentation, biomedicine, IT, and robotics. Thirty thousand highly skilled jobs have been created here.

Moscow is actively developing its industrial infrastructure and creating conditions for localization of production. Thanks to the city's decisions, companies are able to expand capacity and enter new markets. The capital also helps provide companies with high-tech machine tools and equipment. This is in line with the objectives of the national project.
