New Delhi, March 25 (Xinhua) — Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake held a telephone conversation on Tuesday, exchanging views on global energy security, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs reported.

According to the department, the leaders discussed the changing situation in West Asia, focusing on factors threatening global energy security. Both sides reaffirmed the importance of maintaining open and secure sea lanes in the interests of the entire world.
