BEIJING, March 25 (Xinhua) — Resolving the Taiwan issue is a necessary requirement for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and is a matter for the Chinese people themselves, in which any outside interference is unacceptable, said Zhu Fenglian, spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council.

Zhu Fenglian made the remarks at a regular press briefing on Wednesday, responding to a media question about a recent US intelligence community report that said China views reunification as an important condition for achieving national rejuvenation by 2049.
