BEIJING, March 24 (Xinhua) — The 9th Digital China Summit will be held from April 29 to 30 in Fuzhou, capital of eastern China's Fujian Province. An official announced on Tuesday that the summit will focus on showcasing achievements, introducing cutting-edge technologies, and fostering the development of a thriving digital ecosystem.

This was announced by Liu Lehong, Director General of the National Data Administration, at a press conference hosted by the State Council Information Office. The theme of the upcoming event will be accelerating innovative development in digital technologies and further advancing the construction of a digital China, he added.

The summit will highlight significant achievements and milestones in the development of digital China. Key documents will also be released, including the "Digital China Development Report 2025" and the "Digital China Development Index."

More than 30 policy documents, reports and standards on digital China will be released by a number of government agencies, including the State Data Administration, the State Internet Information Office and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China.

Around 400 enterprises, including China Southern Power Grid and Alibaba, will showcase their latest digital transformation technologies and products at the summit.

The event will also feature nearly 100 typical examples of successful data integration and application in industries such as agriculture, manufacturing, medicine, culture, and tourism. More than 65 percent of the exhibits will be presented for the first time.

The summit will feature more than 20 technical developments from seven leading universities, including Tsinghua University and Peking University, as well as more than 10 research institutions, such as the National Data Development Research Institute and the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology.

The summit will also feature four ecosystem conferences dedicated to various AI segments, organized by Chinese telecommunications giants China Telecom, China Unicom, China Mobile, and Huawei. They will bring together over 400 enterprises from upstream and downstream sectors of the value chain to discuss opportunities for collaboration and development.

The upcoming summit will debut an "industrial networking platform" designed to directly connect innovative developments with market needs.

The event is organized by the National Development and Reform Commission, the State Data Administration, the State Internet Information Office, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the People's Government of Fujian Province. The summit will feature over 50 different dialogue and exchange events, an innovation competition for building a digital China, and over 100 special events.
