Hanoi, March 23 (Xinhua) — The second plenary session of the 14th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV CC) opened in Hanoi on Monday, the Vietnam News Agency reported.
The committee intends to discuss and make decisions on a wide range of issues underlying the implementation of the resolution adopted at the 14th Party Congress, as well as those concerning the effectiveness of the political system and the country's sustainable development for the period 2026-2031 and beyond, the statement said.
The agenda also includes consideration of personnel appointments to senior positions in government agencies for the period 2026-2031.
In his opening remarks, General Secretary of the CPV Central Committee To Lam stated that the plenary session would determine the key legal framework, work procedures and disciplinary principles necessary for the practical implementation of the resolution.
The plenum is planned to last until March 27. –0–
