Vienna, March 21 (Xinhua) — International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi on Saturday stressed the need for military restraint to avert the risk of a nuclear accident following another attack on an Iranian nuclear facility.

The IAEA reported on social media that Iran informed the agency of an attack on its Natanz nuclear facility earlier on Saturday. The agency is investigating the situation and has not received any reports of increased radiation levels outside the facility.

The IAEA Director General again called for military restraint to avoid further catastrophic damage.

According to the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, the United States and Israel attacked the uranium enrichment facility in Natanz on Saturday morning. There were no reports of a radioactive leak, and residents of nearby areas were not at risk.
