Moscow, March 21 /Xinhua/ — The photo exhibition "Beautiful Flowers Bloom Everywhere: Protagonists of Chinese Modernization," dedicated to the achievements of women's development in China, opened on Friday at the Chinese Embassy in Moscow. The project highlights China's impressive successes in protecting women's rights and interests.

In his written greeting to exhibition visitors, Fu Hua, Director-General of the Xinhua News Agency, emphasized that as China's state news agency and a global news agency, Xinhua has always been a witness, chronicler, and participant in the development of women's issues. "We actively build bridges between Chinese and Russian media, play a bridging role, and provide assistance and support in deepening exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in areas such as cultural and humanitarian contacts and women's issues," the greeting stated. He added that Xinhua News Agency is ready to take advantage of the current exhibition to continue telling the stories of friendly Chinese-Russian comprehensive cooperation, particularly in the area of women's issues, and to contribute and join efforts to advance global women's issues.

As Chinese Ambassador to the Russian Federation Zhang Hanhui noted at the exhibition's opening ceremony, 2026 will mark several important events: the 30th anniversary of the establishment of partnership and strategic cooperation between China and Russia, the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Good-Neighborliness, Friendship, and Cooperation, and the launch of the China-Russia Years of Education.
