Beijing, March 20 (Xinhua) — China's postal industry handled 33.14 billion parcels in the first two months of 2026, up 5.6 percent year-on-year, according to data released by the State Postal Administration of China on Friday.
At the same time, the express delivery sector processed 30.49 billion parcels, an increase of 7.1%.
Total revenue in China's postal industry during the period increased by 7.4 percent to 291.98 billion yuan (approximately 42.38 billion US dollars).
In particular, revenue in the express delivery sector increased by 7.9 percent to 238.54 billion yuan.
In January-February, the volume of express delivery transactions within a single city amounted to 2.13 billion parcels, which is 4.8 percent less than compared to the same period last year, while the volume of intercity shipments increased by 8.2 percent, amounting to 27.68 billion parcels. -0-
