Tashkent, March 19 /Xinhua/ — In the first two months of this year, 1.7 million foreign tourists visited Uzbekistan, the National Statistics Committee reported.
It is reported that in January-February 2026, 1,776,336 foreign citizens from 156 countries visited Uzbekistan for tourism purposes.
According to the committee, this figure increased by 441 thousand people, or 33 percent, compared to the same period last year.
It is noted that Kyrgyzstan ranks first in terms of the number of tourist arrivals – 521,138 people, followed by Tajikistan and Kazakhstan.
In 2025, a total of 11.7 million foreign citizens visited Uzbekistan for tourism purposes. –0–
