HAIKOU, March 19 (Xinhua) — The 6th China International Consumer Goods Expo (CICPE) will be held from April 13 to 18 in Haikou, capital of south China's Hainan Province, a press conference was held Wednesday.
The upcoming Expo, jointly organized by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and the Hainan Provincial Government, will be the first such event since the launch of independent customs operations throughout the Hainan Free Trade Port last year. Canada will be the guest of honor at this year's Expo.
The Hainan International Exhibition Center in Haikou will remain the main venue for this year's CICPE. In addition, the expo will feature two specialized zones: an international yacht exhibition zone in Sanya and an international health consumption exhibition zone in the Boao Lecheng International Health Tourism Pilot Zone.
A number of events will also be held, including new product presentations, meetings to match supply and demand, and more than 10 thematic events aimed at stimulating consumption. Furthermore, special events will be dedicated to showcasing consumption opportunities at the Hainan Free Trade Port.
In 2025, the 5th CICPE surpassed all previous editions, bringing together 1,767 companies and 4,209 consumer brands from 71 countries and regions of the world. -0-
