HANOI, March 16 (Xinhua) — Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Trinh met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong and Defense Minister Dong Jun in Hanoi on Monday.

Three Chinese ministers arrived in Vietnam to attend the first ministerial meeting of the China-Vietnam "3 3" strategic dialogue mechanism on diplomacy, defense and public security.

As Pham Minh Trinh noted, China is the only country where all of Vietnam's foreign policy priorities converge. He stated that strengthening and developing relations with China is the top priority and strategic choice of the Vietnamese Party and government.

Pham Minh Trinh stressed that the Vietnamese side firmly adheres to the one-China policy, supports a series of global initiatives put forward by Chinese President Xi Jinping, and is willing to work with the Chinese side to implement the important agreements reached by the top leaders of the two parties, plan further high-level exchanges, cultivate political mutual trust, promote practical cooperation, and properly handle differences, so as to continuously deepen the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and build a Vietnam-China community with a shared future of strategic significance.

Wang Yi, for his part, stated that China hopes to work with Vietnam to comprehensively deepen the alignment of development strategies, strengthen cooperation in areas such as connectivity, trade and investment, implement more projects that benefit people, so as to better serve the interests of the peoples of the two countries, overcome difficulties shoulder to shoulder and move forward in a world undergoing turbulent times of fundamental changes.
