Hanoi, March 16 (Xinhua) — The first ministerial meeting of the China-Vietnam "3 3" strategic dialogue mechanism covering diplomacy, defense and public security was held in the Vietnamese capital on Monday.
Representatives of the People's Republic of China – Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong and Minister of Defense Dong Jun – co-chaired the meeting with their counterparts from Vietnam – Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung, Defense Minister Phan Van Giang and Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang.
The parties held an in-depth exchange of views on issues such as the development and change of the international situation, ensuring political security, and promoting cooperation in the field of defense and law enforcement, reaching a broad consensus.
