Moscow, March 16 (Xinhua) — The United States and Israel already understand how mistaken they were in counting on a quick operation against Iran. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated this on Monday at a press conference following talks with Kenyan Foreign Minister Musalia Mudavadi.
"If they expected to achieve the goal of completely subjugating this state in a day, in a few hours, then they probably already understand how wrong they were, how deluded they were," TASS quotes the Russian minister as saying.

We are ready, as President [of Russia Vladimir] Putin has repeatedly stated, to play a mediating role in this political process if such a role is needed.
