On March 12, at 10:00 a.m. Beijing time, train No. 95, bound for Pyongyang, North Korea, departed Dandong Station, China. This marked the official launch of international passenger service between Dandong and Pyongyang. The train consists of five passenger cars and is expected to arrive at Pyongyang Station at 6:07 p.m. local time.
A correspondent at Dandong Station noted that the international train waiting area had train schedules, electronic displays, and service counters all written in Korean.
Trains between Dandong and Pyongyang currently operate daily in both directions. Train No. 51, departing Pyongyang, departs at 10:26 AM local time and arrives at Dandong station at approximately 4:23 PM Beijing time.
