JERUSALEM, March 15 (Xinhua) — The Rafah crossing on the Gaza Strip-Egypt border will reopen on March 18 to limited two-way pedestrian traffic, the Office of the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Palestinian Territories (COGAT) announced on Sunday.
The crossing was closed on February 28 following the start of the US-Israeli attack on Iran. According to COGAT, the reopening of the crossing will only apply to people, as there is no indication that cargo or commercial traffic will be allowed at the same time.
