BEIJING, March 11 (Xinhua) — The third meeting of the presidium of the 4th session of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC) of China was held in the Chinese capital on Wednesday.
The meeting was chaired by the executive chairman of the presidium, Zhao Leji.
At the meeting, it was decided to submit to the plenary vote the draft environmental code, the draft law on promoting national cohesion and progress, and the draft law on national development planning.
The Presidium decided to submit four documents for consideration by the deputy groups, namely draft resolutions on the reports on the work of the Standing Committee (SC) of the NPC, the Supreme People's Court of the PRC and the Supreme People's Procuratorate of the PRC, as well as a draft decision on approving the report of the Standing Committee of the NPC on the progress of work on systematizing legislation and on proposals for revising relevant laws and decisions.
In addition, a report on work with legislative initiatives put forward by NPC deputies during the current session was heard and approved.
Earlier, Zhao Leji, who is also the chairman of the NPC Standing Committee, chaired a meeting of the executive chairmen of the session presidium. –0–
