Starting March 14, buses will begin running from the Tushinskaya metro station and the station of the same name on the second Moscow Central Diameter (MCD) to Krasnogorsk.
"On Sergei Sobyanin's instructions, last year, together with the Moscow Region Government, we launched the first 25 commuter routes. This was a crucial step toward creating a unified transportation space between the two regions. By 2026, we plan to integrate another 54 new routes into the Moscow transport system. We'll begin this Saturday: the first two routes will connect the northwest of the capital with Krasnogorsk. The service will feature 25 modern, large, Russian-made buses, equipped to provide comfortable and safe travel for all categories of passengers. We'll post information about new fares and services at bus stops in advance," said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.
Travel with a Troika card on route #1542 will cost 73 rubles, and on route #1566, 85 rubles. Payment by bank card on route #1542 will cost 78 rubles, and on route #1566, 90 rubles. In addition, unlimited "Ediny" (Unified) passes for the "Prigorod" zone will be available for 30, 90, or 365 days—with these passes, travel is up to 60 percent cheaper per year, and free transfers are available on all Moscow public transportation. Students will also have access to unlimited "Ediny" (Unified) passes for the "Prigorod" zone for 30 and 90 days using the Moskvich card.
Citizens entitled to benefits can enjoy free travel with their Moscow and Moscow Region resident cards, similar to those on Moscow's city routes. Free travel on all Moscow-bound routes (between the capital and the Moscow Region) is also available to eligible citizens of the Moscow Region and those under 60 who qualify for benefits on regional routes. If your Moscow Region resident social card doesn't work on the bus, you should contact a My Documents center in the region to have it recoded.
When paying for single trips with the Troika card at the "Wallet" rate, or with a bank card, discounts for transfers to the metro and other routes are not available. The Strelka card is not available.
According to an agreement between the Moscow and Moscow Region governments, more than 50 existing commuter routes will be integrated into the Moscow public transportation system by 2026. These routes run in the western, northwestern, northern, and northeastern directions. Overall, at least 30 percent of the existing commuter ground public transportation routes are planned to be integrated into the Moscow public transportation system by 2028. After this, they will be equipped with the Moscow public transportation standards familiar to residents: convenient bus schedules and intervals, modern rolling stock, and professional drivers.
The opening of interconnected interregional routes will not only improve the comfort of passenger travel but also provide an additional impetus to the development of the Moscow region's transport infrastructure, including through the installation of modern stops, the development of dedicated public transport lanes, the creation and reconstruction of existing transport hubs, and the expansion of opportunities for using various modes of public transport for daily travel between the capital and the Moscow region.
The regional carrier's freed-up rolling stock will be used to strengthen routes running through the Moscow Region and connecting populated areas with MCD stations.
In accordance with the objectives of the national project Infrastructure for Life Moscow is placing significant emphasis on modernizing its social and public infrastructure, including increasing the number of convenient public transportation routes and upgrading its rolling stock. Furthermore, as part of the national project, the capital has begun developing the Central Transport Hub. It will become a unified transport hub with predictable commuter rail service for more than 30 million residents in 11 regions of Russia.
