Yerevan, March 9 (Xinhua) — Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Monday participated in an online meeting organized at the initiative of European Council President António Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, the press service of the head of the Armenian government reported.

During the meeting, leaders of several countries in the region discussed the situation in the Middle East and possible ways to defuse regional tensions.

N. Pashinyan noted that Armenia is following developments in the region with concern. He emphasized the importance of diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions and stabilize the situation. The Prime Minister reaffirmed Yerevan's readiness to support all constructive initiatives aimed at restoring peace and stability.
