JERUSALEM, March 8 (Xinhua) — The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said Sunday morning it struck F-14 fighter jets at Isfahan Airport in central Iran.
The statement said the Israeli Air Force, acting on intelligence, carried out a broad strike on Saturday against the complexes where the fighter jets were stored.
Detection and protection systems were also affected, the statement noted.
The strike followed the Israeli Air Force's downing of 16 Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Force aircraft at Tehran's Mehrabad Airport on Friday.
