An investor restored a space in a historic building on Milyutinsky Lane. After purchasing the property at auction, the entrepreneur complied with the tender conditions for preserving the property and has already converted approximately 70 square meters for commercial use. "The 67.1-square-meter space, restored by the investor, is located on the first floor of a cultural heritage site on Milyutinsky Lane. The buyer carried out renovation and restoration work in accordance with the conservation order and the technical condition report and can now begin operating the property. A year earlier, another investor purchased a 308-square-meter space in the same building at auction and renovated it. Thanks to the restoration, the cultural heritage site will be preserved for residents and visitors to the capital, and entrepreneurs will be able to operate in a prestigious location, adapting the property, which is over a century old, to modern business standards," commented Ekaterina Solovieva.
Compliance with security obligations by new owners when purchasing premises in a cultural heritage site is monitored by a specialized commission, which includes representatives of the capital's departments city property Andcultural heritage.
The cultural heritage site at 20/2 Milyutinsky Lane, Building 1, was first constructed as a tenement house in 1915–1916, designed by architect Valentin Dubovsky, and completed in the 1930s under the supervision of architect Alexander Kalmykov. Artist and academician Yevgeny Lanceray lived and worked here from 1934 to 1946.
Earlier, Sergei Sobyanin ordered that restoration be carried out by at least 150 objects cultural heritage per year.
According to legislation on cultural heritage sites, owners and users of architectural monuments are obligated to preserve their historical appearance. Any work on such buildings must be carried out according to an approved design, with the permission and supervision of specialists.
