The Department of Cultural and Business Spaces and the Moskabelmet Group of Companies invite you to a tour of the operating production facility, the Moskabelmet plant.
The first part of the tour is dedicated to the surrounding area of the enterprise: guests will walk through a district of early Soviet architecture from the 1920s and early 1930s. They will discuss the history of the historic area of Dangauerovka and examine individual public buildings: residential buildings, a workers' club, a school, and others. The guide will explain the principles of housing construction and the design of residential areas a century ago and outline the main approaches of avant-garde style to building design.
Participants will then visit the grounds of a unique industrial enterprise in the capital—the Moskabelmet Group of Companies. They will learn about the company's history and production site. They will have the unique opportunity to follow the manufacturing process of products unmatched by any other Russian company, and see how cables are produced from blanks that can withstand open fire, withstand high voltage, and operate in permafrost conditions.
Due to access control restrictions on active production facilities, only adults (18 years of age and older) are permitted to participate in the tour. Prior registration is required, along with passport information. Access to the Moskabelmet Group of Companies requires an original passport; security will not accept any other documents or passport photographs. During the tour, Moskabelmet's press service will take photographs and videos of the tour program to promote the company's activities and publish them on its social media platforms.
Part of the tour will take place outdoors. Visitors should dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.
Duration: about 3.5 hours (the walking part is one hour and 15 minutes, then a visit to the Moskabel plant is about two hours, alternating between warm rooms and exits to the open air).
The meeting point is at the entrance to the Fakel Cinema, located at 15b Entuziastov Highway (Aviamotornaya metro station on the Kalininskaya Line, take exit #4). The tour ends at the exit of the Moskabel factory (2nd Kabelny Proezd, a 10-minute walk from Aviamotornaya metro station).
