In Obninsk, a new building for the A.F. Tsyb Medical Radiological Research Center, a branch of the Russian Ministry of Health's Medical Research Center for Radiology, was opened after renovation. Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin announced this.
"Many medical institutions require infrastructure upgrades and equipment modernization. Renovations and reconstructions create comfortable conditions for patients and staff, as well as introduce new treatment technologies. For example, in Obninsk, the A.F. Tsyb Medical Radiological Research Center's clinic building was reopened after renovation. This is one of the leading institutions in the development and application of high-tech radiological diagnostic and treatment methods for cancer patients," said Marat Khusnullin.
The total area of the facility is over 7,500 square meters. The building has already been equipped with modern technological equipment.
"The facility was implemented as part of the capital construction project register, part of the comprehensive state program 'Construction,' overseen by the Russian Ministry of Construction. The 70-bed clinic includes four modern operating rooms, a ward unit for high-dose chemotherapy and bone marrow transplants, research offices, staff quarters, a therapy department, and other facilities," said Deputy Minister of Construction, Housing, and Utilities Yuri Gordeyev.
The Tsyb Clinic employs highly qualified specialists skilled in all modern cancer treatment methods, including radiation, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy.
"Considerable attention was paid to ensuring comfortable conditions for patients and staff at the medical center during the project's development. The building features energy-efficient exterior walls, windows, and roofing. All entrances to the clinic are equipped with heated vestibules. Furthermore, the surrounding area has been fully landscaped. Trees have been planted, benches installed, turf laid, and new lighting installed," said Karen Oganesyan, CEO of the Unified Customer Production and Consulting Company.
